Hi, my name is Vipul Shah...thanks for visiting my website (which is obviously still under construction). Let me start by telling you about myself, and how I got into singing and entertainment. I graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in '99 (GO TERPS!!!) with a B.S. in Finance and Marketing. I worked hard, and chilled out hardcore. Ah, those memories of Hornbake Mall, Stamp Student Union - I get nostalgic.
Anyway, I was co-chair for my college's Indian Students Association for a few years. During that time, I helped organize and participated in many of the cultural shows that we had. I'd always perform at least one Hindi song and at least one English song - I believe that no matter what language a song is in, the tone...the emotion...remains the same. It still has the power to touch anyone. I felt that culturally, this would help in “bringing the east and west closer together”.
As I gained more exposure through performances, people asked me to sing for different venues. For me, the thrill of standing in front of a crowd and expressing your feelings through songs in indescribable. I've been bungee jumping, white water rafting, and snowboarding through steep mountains - but nothing compares to the adrenaline rush of a great performance.
